The colossal LEGO Technic 42172 McLaren P1 has been reduced to its lowest price ever at John Lewis, representing a 37% discount on the 3,893-piece model before its retirement next year.
We usually only see massive price reductions on sets shortly before they are due to retire, but 42172 McLaren P1 is due to remain on shelves until December 2027. Despite this far-off retirement date, John Lewis has drastically reduced the price of the huge supercar recreation to £242.24 instead of £389.99.
That’s a 37% discount on the model, which has typically been stuck at around £284.99 for the past couple of years.
The features in this LEGO Technic set include a seven-speed gearbox with shifter drum, suspension and a V8 piston engine, as well as adjustable rear wing and opening doors with a butterfly-style mechanism.
