LEGO Pokémon’s biggest wave of sets so far is out now, and fans online have been having fun experiencing and remixing the new models.
From SMART Play to more 18+ models, over a dozen new LEGO Pokémon sets are now on shelves. Some sets are available only in SMART Play regions, but the 18+ assortment is out worldwide.
Whatever models they are able to experience, LEGO fans online have been eager to share their reactions and experiences with this major wave for the theme. That includes Moocowofdoom15‘s cat, who is loving the angular nature of 72168 Rayquaza for a quick scratch.

On the subject of 72168 Rayquaza, one of the biggest critiques of the set upon its reveal, which has since gone on back order, was the hair chosen for Zinnia’s minifigure. Many fans felt that the bob hairstyle didn’t fit Zinnia as well as other elements, and PieceTogetherBuilds has trialled one alternative.
The black version of Lloyd’s hair from The LEGO NINJAGO Movie changes Zinnia’s minifigure, and its most recent appearance was in 76420 Triwizard Tournament: The Black Lake. The minifigure hair element is not currently in production in any colour.

One of the most unusual reactions we’ve spotted to the new LEGO Pokémon SMART Play sets is the creation of Bulbas Tirith. Those wondering what a crossover between the Bulbasaur evolution line and 11317 The Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith would look like now have their answer, thanks to jh_ytth.
